South Campus | Tuesday, April 29 • 10am
Instructor: Stu Johnson • Art, Film, Music, and Theater
Cole Porter wrote over 800 songs. Many of his timeless songs continue in the repertoires of today’s artists and remain highly popular to this day. After a review of Porter’s life, we’ll discuss the backstories of many of these songs and listen to them sung or played by some of the greatest artists of all time—Artie Shaw, The Temptations, The Supremes and Harry Connick Jr.
